Bus Pass Registration for 2024-2025 School Year

Bus pass registration for the 2024-2025 school year will be held from May 1st to May 31st. Applications will be available on the district website beginning May 1st. All applications must be submitted to the Business Department at the district office between May 1st and May 31st. Applications received after the deadline will be placed on a waitlist and transportation will not be guaranteed.

UPDATE

Castaic Union School District is pleased to announce that three new drivers have been hired, enabling us to offer home-to-school transportation, as space provides, to our students in the Paradise Ranch (Templin Highway) and Val Verde communities.

For the 2024-2025 school year, we will continue to offer the routes that were available last year:

From Templin Highway to Northlake Hills Elementary and Castaic Middle School
From Val Verde to Live Oak Elementary and Castaic Middle School

We are committed to providing reliable and convenient transportation for our students, and we hope to expand our routes in the future to offer even more home-to-school transportation options to our community.

Students are placed on bus routes in the order in which their applications are received until the routes are full. Turning in your application does not guarantee your child a seat on their selected bus route. Students who are not placed on routes will be placed on a waitlist and added to routes as space becomes available.

Eligibility

All pupils in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade residing outside of District Walk Distances (2.0 miles for elementary, 3.25 miles for the Middle School) are eligible to apply for the school bus transportation program.

Transportation is available for Northlake Hills, Live Oak, and Castaic Middle School.

Guidelines for Free Bus Pass

Free bus passes for transportation may be available to qualified families, by completing the Santa Clarita Valley School Food Services Agency Application or alternative income verification process.

The District transportation application forms are available for you to download and can be viewed with an Adobe(R) Acrobat(R) Reader. The reader can be downloaded free from the Adobe Website. This site also includes set-up instructions for the reader on your computer.
