Castaic Middle School was just awarded the California Distinguished School Award! 

Castaic Middle School (CMS) has a long-standing history of being recognized as a high-performing school in California. In 2001, CMS was recognized as a California Distinguished School, and in 2015, it received the California Gold Ribbon School Award — a temporary replacement for the Distinguished Schools Program while the state transitioned to new assessment systems. Now, in 2026, CMS is once again the recipient of the California Distinguished School Award.

 

Castaic Union School District is proud of all our high-performing schools, but today we are especially proud of Castaic Middle School for this well-earned and deserved recognition.
